Pulleys and Bushing

QD Sheaves or Pulleys

QD AND TAPER-LOCK PULLEYS (3VX, A and B Belt)
V-Groove sheaves and matching V-Belts used to transmit rotating mechanical power between two shafts on medium to high speed applications.
Economical cost per HP transmitted. Shock load and vibration isolation. Clean, quiet operation. Capable of up to 1/2 deg misalignment.
Stock drive selections covering 1 HP to over 1000 HP application range. 25,000 hours average life with proper selection, installation and maintenance. Speed reduction or speed increase ratios of 1:1 to over 6:1 available. Manufactured to MPTA (Mechanical Power Transmission Association) industry standards. 92% to 95% drive efficiency is typical.

  • Classical and wedge style groove profiles

  • Stock sizes from one to twelve grooves, 1.5" to 71" in diameter

  • Available in QD and Taper-Lock bushed or finished bore

  • Made to order designs also available

QD Bushing

QD DODGE BUSHING SYSTEM
Tapered split bushings that fit into a matching tapered bore in a sheave, sprocket, pulley, etc., used to securely mount the product onto a shaft.
Allows a product to be securely mounted to any shaft size within the range of the bushing series. No need for remachining. Tapered bushing compensates for normal variations in shaft and component dimensional tolerances. Easy-on/Easy-off, no fretting corrosion between bore and shaft. Taper-Lock bushings are flangeless for clean, compact application.

QD: JA, SH, SDS, SD, SK, SF, E, F, J, M, N, P, W, S.Material: Sintered steel, cast iron, ductile iron, steel, stainless steel.

Weld on Hub

WELD ON HUB
Taper-Lock or QD weld-on hubs for use in the fabrication of conveyor pulleys, plate sprockets, fans, impellers, etc. Weld-on hubs are made of low carbon steel for good welding compatibility.

Taper-Lock weld-on hubs: Weld-on hubs are made of 1015-1025 steel, drilled, tapped and taperbored to receive the TAPER-LOCK bushing. They are useful for welding into fan rotors, pulleys, plate sprockets, etc., which must be firmly mounted onto shafting. Four types of hubs are available from stock.

QD weld-on hubs: Weld-on hubs are made of low carbon steel for good welding compatibility. They are useful for welding into fan rotors, impellers, agitators, etc., which require secure mounting to the shaft. A standard type is available in addition to one that is specifically designed for use in the end disc of a conveyor pulley.

Taper-Lock weld-on hubs: Hubs available to handle up to the 120100 bushing. Stock sizes available to handle up to 12" shaft diameters.

QD weld-on hubs: Hubs available to handle the JA through the W series QD bushings. Hubs also available to handle the H bushings for FHP sheaves. Stock sizes available to handle up to 12" shaft diameters.

SPROCKETS ROLLER CHAIN

Sprockets for use with roller chain, generally to provide transmission of power between two low-speed shafts.
No slip transmission, minimal overhung load on shaft bearings, generally used in lower speed ranges (e.g. 1-300 RPM). Low cost, rugged performance.
TAPER-LOCK bushed sprockets in pitches from #35 (3/8"pitch) to #160 (2" pitch), number of teeth range from 9 to 112. Also available are double strand, double-single, B-reborable and A-plate sprockets.

  • Various types of conveyors

  • Mixers

  • Blenders

  • Feeders

  • Textile machinery

  • Packaging machines
